Welcome to She Treks! I am watching Star Trek for the first time, and will be documenting the experience here on this blog.

About me

I’m Sage. My pronouns are she/they. I’m a 40-something based in Pennsylvania, USA. And I have a confession to make: I didn’t grow up watching science fiction. In fact, I didn’t realize I even liked science fiction until I reached adulthood! I’ve obviously been aware of Star Trek, but I’ve been avoiding actually watching it. What can I say? I found the sheer size of the Star Trek franchise to be incredibly daunting.

In addition to She Treks, I am the “parent” of multiple other blogs. The only real explanation I have for this is that I experience extreme FOMO. The thing that I think ties my blogs together is that they are all about my trying to learn about something new (mostly) – whether it be about the Star Trek franchise or gender diverse people in fandom. She Treks

The goal of She Treks is to document my first time watching Star Trek. I like the idea of attempting to connect with other Star Trek fans.

Maybe you’re new to the franchise like me. Maybe you’re a seasoned fan looking for a fresh perspective on this massive franchise. Either way, you are welcome here and I look forward to including you in my journey.

Star Trek watch order

I plan on watching the franchise based on release date, starting with The Original Series.

The posts here on She Treks will be primarily episode reviews in the beginning. Once I’ve gained more experience and insight, I hope to branch out to other topics.
